W.B.Yeats, one of the most important literary exhibitions yet staged internationally.

  • yes, yes we saw this, W.B. Yeats exhibition and his important contribution to Irish, and international literature. in the national library of Ireland. We saw cases of his original manuscripts. Yeats, was one of the few men who managed to earn a living by his pen. It was cool to see, that a man with little education and horrible hand writing, had the mind to write beautiful literature, it's really an inspiring exhibition
  • in the same place we saw these really old books, and diary's from people. the old books were sensitive to light and had to actually be covered.

  • last we went to the national museum of Ireland, which was all the horrible bog bodies.. and all of the old gold. And there was this ancient book archaeologists found, they had to recover the entire book which was buried in the ground, i cannot image ever being patient enough for that.

  • Then, the play, at the Abby theatre, was surprisingly intriguing, the actors were fantastic, apart from my own self not being able to completely understand the old Irish accents. The set was really cool i thought, they grasped the 1920's vibe super good. i didn't actually like the play whilst reading it, i didn't understand it really so the play definatly helped with that.

  • overall it was a super fun day, and we thanked all our English teachers for organizing :-)

creative writing..

i have to say Mrs Ward is a rather creative teacher. every class may seem meaningless to some people sitting there just listening to her talk, but I'm getting an awful lot from it and it's probably my favorite of our Ty subjects :-) having it only once a week just makes it that much more special. right now we have to have our own diary, about this poem. i think this is gonna be pretty interesting, i already have so many diary's of my own. We're then going to combine diaries with someone else, and then create a monologue about this poem and how it makes us feel. I'm rather psyched.

awfully gruesome pictures of decomposing dolls..

there is something utterly wrong with the world.. we clearly should have won the fun walk.. clearly.
no actually i don't even know i wasn't in.. lol

so yeah i just realised our geography project was a bit of a fail we kind of didn't do the right countries and different continents and stuff so yeah.. gotta re-do ALOT of stuff :-(
like okay we were going to go to mexico and to this island that is cursed, and all the trees on the island are covered in old broken dolls. A man who lived there by himself decorated them himself as a shrine for this little girl who drowned in a canal nearby, the dude eventually drowned in the same canal.. yeah spooky stuff.. well i was getting overly-excited to present to the class awfully gruesome pictures of decomposing dolls.. but now.. i cannot. :'-(
